Battlefield 6 - Mirak Valley

I worked as an Architecture Artist on Battlefield 6 in the Core Environment Art and Destruction team, where we focused on setting high standards for creating shareable destructible architecture. Our work emphasized content creation that aligned with visual and tech quality expectations as well as ensuring a fun, immersive and realistic destruction experience. Some of the features I worked most on includes Architecture Destruction tooling, Destruction textures and shaders, Debris Clusters, Edge models and other areas related to Architecture and Destruction.

I had the pleasure to work with Daniel Rocque Bengtsson and Olivia Xu on the construction site at Mirak Valley. It's the largest architecture structure in the game with a lot of pre-destruction and destruction setup including a spectacular event where a crane can collapse into the building and destroy a large part of the facade. Daniel did a fantastic job working out the layout of the construction site and setting up most of this very complex work. My focus areas were mainly creating large parts of the two lower gameplay floors and authoring trims and materials of the concrete elements for the site, and creating smaller modules that could be used to build many areas of the site. I also worked on the destructible modules of drywall and cinderblock, where QLOC as well did some beautiful work.

A warm thanks to Daniel and Olivia for their vision and collaboration. And a big shout out to the rest of the Mirak Valley pod on the amazing work putting together this large and stunning map.

Two of the module sets I worked on were the cinderblock and drywall set. QLOC also did a lot of work on these.
