Ruin Land II - UE4 Environment

This environment is based on a concept art piece by Robby Johnson that I really liked. I tried to stay true to the concept as much as I could for my hero shot.

I worked on this piece for about a month as a school assignment a year ago and have also worked on it more afterwards in my spare time. Sculpting the big structures and ruin pieces and learning to create a waterfall with particle systems was something I spent much of the production time on, as well as getting the right lighting where I got great help from Tilmann Milde. I recently went back to the scene to push it further and send it in to the Rookie Awards. A big thanks to Leonardo Iezzi for giving me feedback on how to improve my scene. Also thanks to Alexander Samuelsson who gave me tips on how to create a better tree.

I'm really happy with how the scene turned out and I learned a lot.
